Dear Member of the Religious Formation Conference,
It was, indeed, a genuine privilege and pleasure to
gather with so many RFC members at the November 12-15 Congress in Denver.
The Congress theme:
Called to the Mountain: Blessing and
Hope reminded us often of our personal and communal blessings and
anchored us in hope as we embrace an unknown future with a known God.
Designing programs, such as our biennial Congress, to meet your
Congregational needs in relation to initial and on-going formation is one of
a range of substantive and quality services offered by the Conference.
It is with a
deep sense of gratitude for your on-going support of the Mission of the
Religious Formation Conference that I invite
you to renew Institute membership for the year 2010.
As a Service organization,
membership dues are a major source of the funding necessary for programs and
services offered by RFC. In addition to your dues, RFC assertively pursues
other sources of funding since dues alone cannot sustain our services to you
and your congregations.
Membership in RFC is by Religious Institute/Government
Unit ( province, region,
monastery, priory). With
Institute membership, every congregational member enjoys the privileges of
membership as listed in the Membership Renewal Application form. RFC offers
Auxiliary membership with
limited benefits
to select individuals as identified in the membership form.
In addition to
the two members of your Institute who will receive RFC’s quarterly publications
InFormation and
TransFormation,
other members can receive the same electronic mailings by purchasing an
additional membership for $55.00 (U.S) and $65.00 (international). We
encourage you to download
TransFormation from the RFC
website and send it to all members of your community. Auxiliary members, as identified in the
Membership Application Form, will also receive the electronic mailings.
If your congregation is considering not renewing
RFC membership due to financial difficulties, you may be eligible for a
reduced fee. The Conference has limited funds available to honor such needs.
Please make your request, in writing, directly to me at the national office.
Two final important
notes:
1. Deadline for renewal application is January 31, 2010. A 2.5% late fee
will be applied to dues received after that date.
