RENEWING THE FACE OF OUR EARTH
Paula Gonzalez SC, a
Sister of Charity of Cincinnati, futurist and environmentalist, has
presented over 1200 programs on global futuring, learning from the
Earth, eco-spirituality and contemporizing the vows. Recently she
founded EarthConnection, a solar-heated center for learning and
reflection about ‘living lightly’ on Earth.
This two-video set
offers the presentation Paula Gonzalez SC gave a workshop in October
2000, in Convent Station NJ, on ‘Living Vows: Renewing the Face of
the Earth’. She ‘read the signs of the times and tried to make
clear the prophetic agenda facing religious—to redefine and
rearticulate the meaning of the vowed life in today’s rapidly
changing world. By developing a more accurate and integrative ‘worldview’,
religious can make an important contribution to ensuring that Gospel
values influence the creative ferment which is shaping the 21st
century.
