The Sisters of Charity of Nazareth have announced the winners of the 2026 Super Raffle, celebrating not only three big prizes but the global mission that every ticket helps support.

This year’s winners are:

First Place ($20,000) – Stanley Martinkosky – Long Key, FL

Second Place ($5,000) – Frederick Doyle – Evergreen, CO

Third Place ($1,000) – Thomas Bowling – New Albany, IN

During the live drawing, Sister Jacky Jesu, president of the Congregation, reminded everyone that the heart of the raffle goes far beyond the prizes. “Every ticket purchased represents an investment in people,” she said, noting that the funds support ministries that “seek to uphold human dignity, strengthen communities, and respond to the needs of oppressed and marginalized people.”

She referenced the legacy of Sisters Paula Merrill and Margaret Held, whose ministry in Mississippi continues to inspire the Congregation’s work today, 10 years after their tragic deaths. “Mission is found in our willingness to accompany others, to listen, to serve, and stand in solidarity with those who face hardship and injustice,” Sister Jacky shared. “This work is only possible because of people like you.”

Spalding Hurst, director of the Office of Mission Advancement, opened the event by reminding participants that the Super Raffle is “more than winning the grand cash prize; it’s an opportunity to support the mission of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth and the ministries that touch so many lives around the world.” He also highlighted the remarkable dedication of Sister Janine Jaster, who sold more than $10,000 in tickets this year and has helped generate nearly $100,000 for the mission since 2013.

As the drawing concluded, Hurst thanked everyone who purchased tickets or helped spread the word, saying, “It’s your generosity that makes a difference in the lives of people around the world and helps ensure that this important work continues for years to come.”
