General Cancellation Policy

As program space is limited and costs have already been incurred by the Conference, it is necessary for the RFC to utilize the following cancellation policy. This policy governs all RFC programs except for ForMission and the biennial Congress which have their own stated policies (see below). The policy includes both programs that happen virtually (e.g., via Zoom) and those that meet in person. The policy became effective August 1, 2022.

Cancellations made 8 days or more in advance of a program will receive a 75% refund. Cancellations made within a week of a program start date will receive a 50% refund. No-shows without prior notice forfeit any refund.

Cancellation requests must be made in writing and emailed to both the Conference’s Operations Manager (smikolyash@relforcon.org) and Program Manager (bmichalski@relforcon.org).

The RFC reserves the right to cancel or postpone any program because of insufficient enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances. If a program is cancelled or postponed, the Conference will refund registration fees but cannot be held responsible for any related costs, including cancellation/change fees assessed by airlines, hotels, etc.

ForMission Withdrawal Policy

The RFC is bound by various contractual agreements, including financial commitments, necessary to secure appropriate venues and accommodations and qualified presenters for each residential session. Early withdrawal does not automatically curtail responsibility of the sending congregation/province for payment of remaining quarterly tuition fees.

Participants who need to withdraw from the ForMission program are obligated to pay for the program portion of the sessions they are not able to attend. The program portion is equivalent to 50% of each session fee. Withdrawal notification must be provided at least 30 days before the next session(s) or the community is responsible for the full amount of the program. For serious reasons, participants may take a leave of absence for one session. However, if the participant does not return to the ForMission program, the congregation/province remains financially responsible for the full amount of the remaining sessions.
