'Rejoice and Be Glad' Webinar on April 16

In this webinar on Tuesday, April 16th at 1:00pm CT Dan Horan, a Franciscan Friar of the Holy Name Province, Assistant Professor of Systematic Theology and Spirituality at Catholic Theological Union, and columnist for the National Catholic Reporter, will discuss his recent book on the encyclical Guadete et Exsultate (Rejoice and be Glad) by Pope Francis titled Reading, Praying, Living Pope Francis's Rejoice and Be Glad: A Faith Formation Guide.

In addition to the RFC, Fr. Horan's presentation is also sponsored by the National Association of Vocation and Formation Directors (NAVFD) of Canada.

Application Deadline for Together Cohort April 8

Together is a cohort-based, residential theology program for religious sisters and brothers in temporary vows and for newly professed religious who are willing to commit to full participation in all three program components: theological education, formation, and community. 

Together participants will enroll in a graduate theology program at CTU, share community in a designated space in the residence hall, and participate in ongoing formation together as an inter-congregational, intercultural, and intergenerational cohort. It consists of at least one full year of study that would lead to a certificate in an area of theology/spirituality, or two to three years of study that would allow participants to earn a master's degree in theology, pastoral studies or divinity.

Final Call for New ForMission Class: April 12 Deadline

The next ForMission class will begin May 30-June 7, 2019 at Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. Application materials and updated information for 2019 are available. Application deadline to begin ForMission May/June 2019 is April 12.

Life Commitment Participants to Gather July 9-17

The Life Commitment Program (LCP) is an 8-day program that provides an opportunity for Catholic religious women and men to contemplate and reflect on their call to embrace a life-time commitment to consecrated life. Those discerning or anticipating profession of final vows gather in the company of their peers with presenters, seasoned in religious life and skilled in adult learning processes, to engage the compelling questions, experiences, and insights that speak to the reality of living vowed religious life in the 21st century.
