Wendy Goodwin, SCNA, shares her gifts with the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth in generous and practical ways, especially through her skill in woodworking. This Christmas, the Community is displaying some of her creations. They include handcrafted candles, an angel made from an old shutter once stored in the attic, and a simple tree created from leftover lumber from a volunteer deck project. Each piece reflects care, creativity, and thoughtful use of materials already on hand.
Beyond her woodworking, Wendy has served on many volunteer trips. She consistently steps in where help is needed and does so with a quiet and steady presence. Her willingness to serve strengthens relationships across the Community and reflects the shared commitment of Associates and Sisters.
The Sisters of Charity of Nazareth are grateful to Wendy for her many contributions and for assisting whenever and wherever she is needed. Her presence and gifts are valued.
An Associate of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth is a person who chooses to share in the life and mission of the Congregation without becoming a vowed member. Associates commit to living the values of charity, justice, and care for all creation in their daily lives and work. They build relationships with Sisters and with one another through prayer, service, and learning, and they support the mission locally and globally. Through this commitment, Associates help extend the mission of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth into families, workplaces, and communities.
