On Sunday March 15, 2026, the relics of Bl. Givanni Merlini arrived in Dodoma and were received by the Missionaries, Adorers Sisters of the Blood of Christ the Associates of the Blood of Christ and the multitude of faithful. Accompanied from Morogoro by Fr. Gregory Mkhotya C.PP.S, two Adorers of the Blood of Christ and two Lay associate, the relics arrived at Buigiri, a new parish which had taken the name of Givanni Merlini when it was inaugurated on Christmas 2024. The district chairman Fr. Chrisogony Vulstan Marandu C.PP.S led the procession from the main road to the Parish church after which the celebration of the Eucharist took place.
The pilgrimage of the relics of the Blessed Givanni Merlini is one of the activities scheduled to take place during the sixty years anniversary of the CPPS presence in Tanzania. Other activities include the Precious Blood week to be held in each of the five districts of the CPPS in Tanzania. The CPPS Responding to the cry of the Blood for sixty years in Tanzania. The conclusion of the celebrations will take place in Manyoni (Our Mother House) on July 1 & 2nd during which four of our seminarians will be definitively incorporated and ordained deacons.
