Dear Members of the Conference,
As the month of July quickly slipped away from us, we pause and say, “What happened to summer 2022’?” While for most of us we have been looking forward to many activities that usually fill these summer months – meetings, chapter, jubilee celebrations, retreats, etc., with COVID-19 still lingering in the air, we have needed to address its many challenges. It is our hope that you have had opportunities for self-renewal and relaxation wherever you have been during these difficult months.
It is once again time for the Religious Formation Conference (RFC) Board to invite your participation and input in nominating new members for the Board. We encourage you to invite members who you determine would continue to move forward the great work that is being accomplished by the RFC Board.
We have five (5) members who will be going off the RFC board this year. From the nominations that are received and the criteria and skill sets that are needed, the Board of Directors will elect new Board members.
We are searching for members who have had experience on boards and understand the accompanying fiduciary responsibility. Our goal is to have a diverse board – ethnicity and age, as well as to have someone with young adult experience and ongoing formation and/or educational experience.
The Board Governance Committee has put together a nominating process to facilitate the election of new board members. Please find below in the attachments section the board nomination documents. These include:
- Board member responsibilities and a list of criteria/skill sets for potential Board members;
- The online nomination form;
- A nominee response form.

We are also including a list of names and experience of our current Board members that may give you an idea of the current breath of individuals and experience as you think about complementarity.
Please be advised that the deadline for nominations is Monday, September 12, 2022.
