The Nazareth Convent community in Mokama gathered to mark Christmas with a shared celebration in the dining hall. Sisters of all ages took part in the celebration reflecting strong community life and inclusion.
The celebration began with a welcome dance by three young Sisters dressed as Santa and Santa’s companions. English and Hindi Christmas carols were sung next, followed by Sisters exchanging material and spiritual gifts.
A group activity called Passing the Tiffin brought laughter and energy and encouraged participation across the room. The gathering also included time to recognize Sister Mary Chackalackal for 27 years of service.
The celebration concluded with soup and supper, along with time for conversation and shared time together.
