Called

Called—called to participate in the Mission God, the Mission Life, the Reign of Love. What an awesome privilege! What a challenge! What a responsibility! From all eternity, the call has sounded and resounded in all of creation—in the stillness at the heart of life—to be the Unconditional Love of God unfolding in our lives, in our world.

Called – and responded. Yes, we were called to serve God and the people of God through our consecrated life.   However, without our response to the call there would be just a call and missed opportunities for all the graces and blessings that this life brings. Because of response we are afforded opportunities to be edge walkers, to go to the margins and bring God’s love to those most in need.  I am filled with awe when I stop to think about all the people whose presence has blessed my life – all because I heard the call and gave my response, my yes to the gift God offered me.
