The word REJOICE evokes memories of the challenge of renovating two abandoned buildings in the Bronx with the support of my Sparkill Dominican community. It was a great struggle and eventual satisfaction to provide shelter for homeless mothers and children. I pray that we will continue to advocate for the elimination of homelessness.
