A prophet is identified as one called from anonymity to speak out against injustice, evil, all forms of slavery, inequality, calling for conversion, humanness, truth, justice.

It is not difficult to think of women as prophets. Our St. Catherine of Siena of the 14th century and Dorothy Day of the 20th century come to mind. Both women, perhaps living on the periphery, gifted with a restless spirit, called by God to challenge the status quo of their time—untiring in their efforts in challenging the systems and the leaders, Church and civil. Two restless women challenging others. How restless are we?
