The Sisters of Charity of Nazareth in Nazareth School, Banakal, celebrated its much-awaited Cultural Fest, NAZAROTHSAV 2026, with the theme “Echoes of Heritage” on August 20 and 21, 2026. The purpose of the event was to bring traditions and cultures to life through a variety of events and activities. The two-day celebration generated great interest and enthusiasm among the students, adding joy and vibrancy to the entire campus. It provided students with an opportunity to showcase their talents, creativity, and confidence while developing an appreciation for the rich cultural heritage of India and the world around.
A inaugural dance was performed with various dance forms of India. After that, Sister Hilda Lobo, the Principal and the Chief Guest, Mrs. T. S. Bhagya, Headmistress of Kottigehara High School, inaugurated the fest. A major highlight was the colorful cultural presentation based on the theme “Echoes of Heritage and the Five Elements of Nature.” Through their performances, the students beautifully portrayed the diverse traditions and cultures of India.
The fest featured a variety of competitions, including solo dance and singing, declamation, Kannada speech, ramp walk, group dance, drama, notice board decoration, dough modeling, abacus, spot talk, memory games, poem-inspired art, and collage making. Students from Grades III to XI participated in these events with confidence, creativity, and enthusiasm. The judges appreciated the preparation, stage presence, and overall performance of the students. The events also gave opportunity to improve leadership skills, imagination and a spirit of healthy competition among the students.
NAZAROTHSAV-2026 was a joyful celebration of culture, creativity, and the importance of keeping our heritage alive in a rapidly advancing technological world. The fest created lasting memories as students and teachers worked together to showcase their talents, celebrate diversity, and explore the treasures of creativity and cultural heritage.
