The Sisters of Charity of Nazareth community gathered at St. Vincent de Paul Church on Tuesday, July 14, for a special liturgy missioning Kaylee Morris as the new Director of the SCN Associate Relationship.

Kaylee has served in the SCNA Office for the past three years as Administrative Assistant, where she “has learned a whole lot and done incredible work with the Associate Program.” During the liturgy, it was noted that as director, she is “walking in the footsteps of those who have carried this leadership role in this 54-year history of the Associates.”

The strong support surrounding Kaylee was clear in the church. Associates, inquirers, candidates, co-workers, friends, family, and Sisters were in attendance.

As part of the ritual, a missioning candle was lit “as a sign of God’s presence with you, Kaylee, as you carry out your ministry as director of the Associate Relationship.” The candle was presented as a symbol of the light of Christ that will guide her in ministry.

A blessing was also offered over Kaylee, asking God to guide her planning and her decision making and to keep her open to possibilities and faithfulness to the mission as Sisters of Charity of Nazareth.
