The renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth and the Medical Mission Sisters at Kurji Holy Family Hospital on March 16, 2026, was a celebration of a shared calling that has lasted for 25 years. Rooted in faith and strengthened through service, this partnership shows what can be achieved when hearts unite in a common mission of healing.

In the presence of Sister Latika Kottuppallil, Provincial of the Patna Province, and Usha Gaikwad, MMS, Provincial, along with esteemed witnesses including Very Rev. Fr. James George K, VG of the Arch Diocese of Patna, Rev. Sr. Mary Alice SND Provincial, and Rev. Fr. Gregory Gomes SJ, the Hospital Chaplain, the gathering unfolded with deep reverence. The lighting of the diyas from the altar candle beautifully symbolised the passing on of a sacred flame, of compassion, hope, and unwavering commitment.

As the Word of God from John 15:12–17 echoed through the hall, the call to “love one another” became the heartbeat of this collaboration. The Memorandum of Understanding, placed reverently on the altar, represented a covenant of trust, unity, and shared vision.

Through prayer, blessing, and the solemn act of signing, both congregations renewed their promise to walk together in faith and mission. They committed themselves anew to bringing light where there is darkness and healing where there is brokenness. In doing so, they pledged that their shared mission will continue to touch lives with dignity, compassion, and hope for generations to come.
