Winter 2019 InFormation

Winter lantern

We are excited to share our winter edition of InFormation. The feature article by Patricia Murray, IBVM, Faith and Hope: Receiving Others With a Spirit of Sisterhood, offers a series of images in which to re-imagine religious life today. She asks readers, "How might these images speak to me today and to my organization?" We invite you to join her in that exploration.

Additionally, Greg Evers, CPPS, shares his moving presentation from the 2019 Congress entitled Starfish. He, too, uses the power of metaphor and imagery to capture working on the borderlands of today's church and world. As he so eloquently states, "To be signs of courageous hope is to face the reality of brokenness and injustice in our world with compassion, love and mercy."

This edition also includes a couple artistic images from Brother Mickey McGrath, OSFS. We are thrilled to feature some of his beautiful work. Please enjoy these moving images and the vibrant spirit they engender.

Finally, we are planning to feature the 2019 Congress keynote addresses in upcoming editions of InFormation. We are currently working on having them translated into Spanish and French. More great content to come in 2020!
